  • Mental Health Foundation - (UK) - The Mental Health Foundation is the UK charity improving the lives of everyone with mental health problems or learning disabilities. They use their research, service development and information to increase understanding and meet people's needs.
  • Mind - The Mental Health Charity (UK) - The leading mental health charity in England and Wales working for a better life for everyone experiencing mental distress. Mind campaigns for the right to lead an active and valued life in the community and is an influential voice on mental health issues. Established in 1946 and drawing on the experience and skills of mental health service users and professionals, Mind has become the largest voluntary sector provider of quality community care.
  • PsychNet - UK - Mental Health, Psychiatry and Psychology online web directory. PsychNet-UK contains over 8000 mental health and psychology resource links.
  • One-worldmentalhealth.org - news reports from Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, Oceania, South America. One-worldmentalhealth.org is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation based in the UK. It provides people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds with in-house training and work experience opportunities in journalism, graphic design, office database, research, pre-press and online production. The online service encourages global contributions from journalists, feature writers, educational establishments, as well as artists and galleries, with an interest in mental health.
  • World Health Organization - is the United Nations specialized agency for health. It was established on 7 April 1948. WHO's objective, as set out in its Constitution, is the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health. Health is defined in WHO's Constitution as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
  • World Health Organization (PDF) - has developed an educational programme to assist primary health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. This programme contains information modules concerning common mental disorders: depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, alcohol use disorders, insomnia, chronic fatigue and somatoform disorders.

  • Gift From Within - an international nonprofit organization is dedicated to those who suffer post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), those at risk for PTSD, and those who care for traumatized individuals.  We have articles, essays, poetry and art, peer support,, coping and inspirational stories, a Q&A, videos, book reviews, list of retreats for survivors, global list of trauma survivor support groups, meditations, and other educational materials and resources.
  • HandsOnScotland - is an online resource for anybody working with children and young people. The website provides practical information and techniques on how to respond helpfully to children and young people's troubling behaviour.
  • Counselling Directory - this website is a support network of UK counsellors and psychotherapists, with information on their training and experience, areas of counselling covered, fees and contact details. This service is free, confidential and easy to use.
